New Orleans is said to be one big stage of entertainment. When the curtain rises, there appears Stuff Like That (SLT) Ole School Cover and Dance Band featuring Bobby J and 1x1, a musical expression in live band sound who present a rare combination of talent and charisma. Ours is a New Orleans based cover and dance band that's so high-energy and exciting. Every audience, after a musical moment with us, savors the journey from 'soul' school to new and from classic to traditional, that impelled all to dance and swing in harmony. Our patrons hear improvisations and witness our premiere performers interact on stage, musically and physically. Our cover renditions are not exact replications, but isn't that the whole point of live entertainment? The real deal in live music versus tracked music is that nothing is tweaked to perfection. Yes, live performances are subject to the vagaries of chance; however, our entertainment is about the performance as much as the music. So do not chance getting lost in over production, as with today's pop tunes. Check out our live, no tracked, performance videos.
